Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh Inaugurates IBM FutureNow Centre in Visakhapatnam

On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the IBM Consulting FutureNow Centre in Visakhapatnam, India. The centre is positioned as a hub for delivering consulting and technology services to global clients, covering artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud, software engineering, data and analytics, cybersecurity, and enterprise transformation.

Lokesh said the centre will help build a comprehensive ecosystem that creates high‑quality employment, develops future‑ready talent, and enables young people from Andhra Pradesh to participate in the global digital economy. IBM India and South Asia Managing Director Sandip Patel highlighted the initiative as an endorsement of Visakhapatnam’s emergence as a global AI and digital‑services hub, noting that IBM operates 15 FutureNow Centres across India.
