Andhra Pradesh to revive Nandi Film and TV Awards for 2012-2025

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the revival of the Nandi Film and Television Awards, covering a period from 2012 to 2025. The decision, issued via the General Administration (I&PR) Department, authorizes the Andhra Pradesh State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation (APSFTVTDC) to conduct the long-pending ceremonies.

The awards schedule includes the 2012–2016 period, the 2017–2024 period, and the 2025 awards. For the 2017–2024 cycle, the government will present awards for the first-best and second-best feature films and TV mega serials, alongside two Special Jury Awards for each year.

Ceremonies are expected to be completed by December 2026. The Nandi Film and National Film Awards are proposed to be held in Amaravati or Vijayawada, while the Nandi TV Awards for 2017–2025 are slated for Tirupati. The 2012–2016 awardees will be honored during a special gathering in Vijayawada. Selection committees are expected to be formed in late 2026, with winners announced in November.
