Andhra Pradesh YSR Congress Party condemns TDP attacks on government employees
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu (YSR) Congress Party’s Employees and Pensioners Wing State President Nalamaaru Chandrasekhar Reddy publicly denounced recent assaults on government staff by members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh. He cited a specific incident in which Revenue Officer Damodaram was attacked with a chair by TDP leader Sundaram while discussing land records with farmers in Rompicherla mandal, Chittoor district, resulting in serious injuries and loss of three teeth.
Reddy warned that such attacks have become routine since the TDP‑led coalition assumed power, accusing the state administration of failing to protect officials. He urged the immediate arrest and strict punishment of the assailant and called for district collectors and superintendents of police to be held accountable. The YSRCP also criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for not intervening despite promises to safeguard employee dignity.
