ANDI accepts resignation of President Bruce Mac Master
The Board of Directors of the National Business Association of Colombia (ANDI) has officially accepted the resignation of Bruce Mac Master from the presidency. This decision concludes a leadership tenure spanning nearly 13 years.
In his resignation, Mac Master cited that ‘multiple pressures have affected the ability of ANDI to act freely and fulfill its mission with autonomy.’ The Board recognized his management through various national challenges, including fiscal crises, the pandemic, and social conflicts, noting his defense of economic liberties and institutional dialogue.
ANDI will now form a committee to lead the search for a successor. Potential candidates mentioned in discussions include María Paula Correa, former Chief of Staff during the Iván Duque administration; Flavia Santoro, former president of ProColombia; and María Claudia Lacouture, president of the Colombo-American Chamber of Commerce.
