Andi Zeqiri aims to revive form for Widzew Łódź in new Ekstraklasa season
Swiss striker Andi Zeqiri, who joined Widzew Łódź after the start of the 2026‑27 season, said in an interview that his previous campaign was disappointing and that he intends to work harder to improve his performance. He recalled the club’s difficult year, marked by four coaching changes and a tight relegation battle, and highlighted the stability he hopes to bring to the forward line. Zeqiri noted that the €2 million transfer, including a private‑plane meeting with club owner Robert Dobrzycki, convinced him to stay, and he now feels motivated by the club’s “equal level” in the Ekstraklasa. He emphasized the league’s physicality and his commitment to train intensively to meet the expectations of fans and management.
The interview underscored Zeqiri’s belief that the Polish top division is a good environment for development and that the team’s stronger cohesion this season should translate into better results.
