An internal government audit of the former National Disability Agency (ANDIS) has revealed a massive accounting discrepancy of $158,717,131,557.63 in reported debt. The inconsistency was identified by comparing records from the Directorate of Budget and Accounting (DPYC) with those from the National Health Services Directorate (DNASS), the latter of which reported a significantly higher debt level.

The audit, which examined the management period up to August 21, 2025, following the removal of director Diego Spagnuolo, also highlighted concerns regarding procurement practices. Specifically, the report noted the frequent use of the 'legitimate payment' mechanism to settle debts for goods and services without following standard contracting procedures.

Federal prosecutor Franco Picardi is currently investigating the DNASS for a suspected fraud scheme involving potential kickbacks of up to 20% and inflated prices in procurement processes. While the DNASS suggested that some discrepancies might stem from unintentional data entry errors by service providers, the matter remains under judicial scrutiny.
