Andisu to launch digital Civic engagement badge for students

A new digital recognition called the ‘Civic engagement badge’ is set to launch in January. Promoted by Andisu following a proposal from Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Italy, the initiative aims to formally acknowledge the time and effort university students dedicate to community and associative activities.

The program features two distinct types of badges: a ‘Leadership’ badge for those in coordination roles and a ‘Volunteering’ badge for those performing community service without formal coordination duties. The goal is to make the soft skills acquired through such work—such as teamwork, project coordination, and problem-solving—visible on professional CVs.

Andisu is currently seeking formal approval to include the logo of the Ministry of University and Research on the badges. Once implemented, students will receive their digital badges directly via email, allowing them to utilize the recognition on a national scale.
