Andong to open Wolyeonggaram-gil tourism route on September 9

Andong City has announced the official opening of Wolyeonggaram-gil on September 9 at 10:00 AM. The 2.6km route utilizes the abandoned tracks of the former Jungang Line, stretching from Imcheonggak through the Seongrak Sky Bridge to the Waryong Light Tunnel.

The site features two primary attractions: the Woryeong Train and the Waryong Light Tunnel. The Woryeong Train is an eco-friendly electric trackless train that circulates between Imcheonggak and the tunnel, offering views of the Nakdong River. It operates ten times daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a round-trip fare of 3,000 KRW.

The Waryong Light Tunnel is a 560-meter repurposed railway tunnel featuring media content, including various lighting and video displays. The tunnel is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with admission prices ranging from 1,000 KRW for elementary students to 5,000 KRW for adults. Both facilities are closed on Mondays.
