Andoni Iraola appointed Liverpool manager

Liverpool FC announced that Spanish coach Andoni Iraola, 43, will become the club’s new head coach, succeeding Arne Slot. Iraola signed a contract that runs until the summer of 2028 and will take charge of the 2026‑27 season. He arrives after a three‑year spell at Bournemouth, where he guided the team to its first ever European competition. Iraola said he is "very excited" to lead one of the biggest clubs in the world. His first duties will include overseeing Liverpool’s summer pre‑season in the United States, with friendly matches against Sunderland, Rotherham and Leeds United.
