Andoni Iraola appointed Liverpool manager to replace Arne Slot

Liverpool confirmed that Spanish coach Andoni Iraola will become the club's new manager, succeeding Arne Slot. The appointment is set to be formalised on July 1, after Iraola completes a two‑year contract with his current club Bournemouth and Liverpool pays compensation for staff he wishes to bring in.

Iraola is scheduled to travel to Merseyside on 4 June to sign the agreement and will oversee Liverpool's pre‑season preparations in the United States. The 43‑year‑old previously coached at Larnaca, Mirandés and Rayo Vallecano before joining Bournemouth, where he led the team to a sixth‑place finish and Europa League qualification.
