Andora holds funeral for Mauro Ronca

Funeral services for Mauro Ronca, a prominent figure in the Ligurian amateur cycling and volunteer community, are being held this afternoon at the Santa Matilde Parish Church in Andora.

Ronca, who passed away at age 87, had a distinguished career in the police force, serving as the Commander of the Judicial Team for the Milan Polfer Compartment and later as the Commander of the Albenga Railway Police Station from 1984 to 1998.

In the sporting world, he was a co-founder of the Dopolavoro Ferroviario cycling team in Albenga, which became one of the most successful amateur teams in Liguria between the 1980s and the early 2000s. He was also a dedicated volunteer, particularly through his work with the Associazione Amici di Rollo.
