Andorra advances regional cooperation and digital innovation

Andorra is advancing regional cooperation and digital innovation through several key initiatives. The II Cross-Border Cooperation Days, held from October 21 to 23, aim to strengthen structured ties between Andorra, Catalonia, and Occitania. A central goal of these sessions is the potential creation of a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) involving the governments of Andorra, Catalonia, and Occitania to facilitate shared projects and access to European funding.

In addition to regional economic integration, Andorra la Vella is focusing on technological advancement. During the second Meeting of Ibero-American Cities in Madrid, the Mayor of Andorra la Vella, Sergi González, advocated for the use of artificial intelligence to improve municipal management and public services. He emphasized that the capital's scale allows for effective testing of digital solutions in areas such as health, well-being, and sports, while maintaining human supervision and data reliability.
