Andorra customs IT glitch halts non‑EU exports

Since mid‑July, an information‑technology failure in the customs system that Andorra uses through Belgium has prevented the generation of T2 transit documents required for shipments to countries outside the European Union. The defect isolates Andorran customs from the Belgian network, leaving export orders blocked and goods stuck in warehouses.

Local companies report order cancellations, mounting workload and fears of losing international clients. One administrator complained that "trying to contact customs has been impossible" and stressed the reputational damage to the Principality. No timetable for restoring the service has been provided, and firms warn that prolonged disruption could erode trust in Andorra as a reliable trading partner.
