Andorra football team loses 1-2 to Malta in Nations League opener

The Andorra national football team suffered a 1-2 defeat against Malta in their UEFA Nations League Group D1 opener. Despite showing an ambitious style of play and controlling much of the match, Andorra was unable to secure a result.

Guillaume López opened the scoring for Andorra in the 16th minute following a rebound from a shot by Arón Rodrigo. However, Malta responded with goals from Irvin Cardona and a second strike just before halftime to take the lead.

Prior to the match, the team held an open training session and autograph event at the Nou Estadi de la FAF in Encamp, which drew over 200 fans, including many children, to interact with the players.
