Andorra government investigates CityXerpa fees for taxi dispute
The Government of Andorra is demanding justification from CityXerpa regarding the entry fees proposed for three taxi drivers seeking to join the single dispatch center (CRT). The executive is analyzing documentation to determine if the higher quotes imposed on these non-associated drivers, compared to those paid by associated members, correspond to actual costs.
While mediation has reportedly led to “significant progress” regarding regulatory compliance, the economic discrepancy remains the final obstacle. The Department of Transport is awaiting additional information from the dispatch center before scheduling a final meeting to resolve the conflict. The dispute involves three professionals who were excluded from the former Association of Taxi Drivers of Andorra (ATA) following their collaboration with Uber.
