Andorra: Heritage department approves Pal and Arinsal ski connection

The heritage department has issued a favorable report regarding the project to connect the Pal and Arinsal ski sectors in Andorra. To protect paleontological interests, a specific perimeter will be established around Port Negre to preserve discovered fossils.

Within this protected zone, the installation of ski lifts or snow cannon elements will be prohibited. Eva Sansa, the Mayor of La Massana, stated that while the heritage report is positive, the project still awaits evaluations from the Department of Environment, assessments regarding rockfall risks, and other necessary planning reports to proceed.
