Andorra la Vella studies new public toilets for Santa Coloma

The government of Andorra la Vella is evaluating the installation of public toilets near the Santa Coloma church to address a lack of facilities in the area. The initiative follows complaints raised by the local parish priest during the Santa Coloma major festival.

Olalla Losada, the minor consul, acknowledged the deficiency and stated that the administration is studying a solution. While visitors currently rely on nearby facilities such as the Museum or Espai Columba, officials are seeking a dedicated option. Any new installation must be carefully placed to ensure it does not interfere with the historical heritage, visibility, or established walking routes of the site.

This effort coincides with the finalization of the Santa Coloma Heritage Arc project, which aims to enhance the area's cultural value through improved signage and updated visitor itineraries. The project is expected to move through the government board and be presented to local residents within the next one to two months.
