Andorra la Vella considers public funding for affordable housing

The local government of Andorra la Vella is exploring alternatives to develop affordable housing in Terra Vella after private sector partners withdrew from the project. A temporary business union (UTE) notified the administration that it would not participate due to a lack of financing, despite having previously reached an agreement on terms.

One option under consideration is for the corporation to fund and construct the housing using its own resources. Alternatively, the council may evaluate whether other planned housing initiatives for the parish can be relocated to the specific plot in question. Mayor Sergi González stated that the administration is in a period of reflection to determine how to move forward with the housing project.
