Andorra receives two offers for affordable public rental housing

The Government of Andorra has received two offers as part of a program to lease buildings for the public affordable rental housing stock. The proposals were submitted within the established deadline and will now undergo an analysis and evaluation process.

Approved in July, the call for applications allows for the presentation of multi-family buildings, aparthotels, and tourist apartments. The initiative prioritizes properties that are already constructed or in an advanced stage of execution requiring minimal adaptation.

Conxita Marsol, the Minister of Presidency, Economy, Labor, and Housing, stated that the goal is to “take advantage of all possible avenues to expand the public housing stock” and incorporate units more quickly. Lease contracts may have a maximum duration of 30 years. If the applications are approved, the government will proceed with the appraisal of each property to determine the conditions for its incorporation into the public rental park.
