Andorra rental assistance mostly awarded to single-person households

In Andorra, more than half of all rental assistance grants were awarded to single-person households during the second quarter of the year. Out of 152 favorable resolutions granted between April and June, 89—or 58.6%—were for households consisting of a single member.

Looking at the first half of the year, the trend is even more pronounced, with single-person households accounting for 61.4% of the 852 total grants awarded. The total amount granted during the second quarter reached 392,266 euros, with an average of 2,580 euros per beneficiary.

Demographic data shows that elderly residents and women are the primary recipients. People over the age of 65 accounted for 47.4% of the favorable resolutions in the second quarter, while women received nearly seven out of every ten grants. In terms of nationality, Spanish residents led the concessions, followed by Andorrans and Portuguese residents. Geographically, Andorra la Vella concentrated 37.5% of the favorable resolutions.
