Andorra solar recycling plant receives environmental authorization

The Instituto Aragonés de Gestión Ambiental (INAGA) has granted favorable environmental authorization to a project by the Centro Europeo de Reciclaje Fotovoltaico. The facility, located in the La Estación industrial park in Andorra, aims to recycle 300 tons of solar panels annually.

This site is intended to serve as a link to a larger plant in Albalate del Arzobispo, which seeks to process 9,000 tons of panels per year. The project involves an initial investment of approximately 300,000 euros, potentially rising to 800,000 euros. While the environmental authorization is a significant milestone, the developers still require waste management permits and local municipal activity licenses, which they expect to secure by November.
