Andos Codroipo honored by Regional Council for 20 years of service

The Andos Codroipo committee has received formal recognition from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Council in Udine to mark its 20th anniversary. For two decades, the organization has supported women who have undergone breast surgery, promoted active listening, and spread awareness regarding cancer prevention.

Regional Council President Mauro Bordin presented the award, noting that the committee provides essential support to women and their families during difficult times. He highlighted that Friuli Venezia Giulia hosts seven of the 57 active Andos committees in Italy, serving as a vital local resource for post-diagnosis accompaniment and health promotion.

President Donatella Colomba honored the association's first president, Nidia Dorio, while emphasizing the importance of peer support in helping women feel less isolated. The association plans to participate in the StraWoman event in San Vito al Tagliamento on November 8 as a charity partner for the ‘Prevention has no age’ project.
