André Ayew calls for sustainable plan to revive Ghana football

Former Black Stars captain André Ayew has called for a sustainable, long-term strategy to revitalize Ghanaian football. Speaking on the Obi One podcast, Ayew emphasized that the nation requires a comprehensive program involving both public authorities and the Ghana Football Association to achieve lasting success.

While acknowledging government financial support for first-division clubs, Ayew noted that such efforts must be paired with improved infrastructure, coherent planning, and organizational stability. He also highlighted the importance of transparency regarding the use of FIFA Forward funds, suggesting that clearer financial management would build trust and attract more private investment into local clubs and youth development.
