André Janones plays key role in Lula da Silva's presidential campaign

André Janones, a federal deputy for Minas Gerais and member of the Rede Sustentabilidade party, has emerged as a central figure in Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's reelection campaign in Brazil. Janones has been instrumental in mobilizing supporters through digital and political strategies ahead of the presidential runoff scheduled for October 25.

Following the presidential debate on October 18, Janones was hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Hospital Vila Nova Star in Sao Paulo due to a cardiac arrhythmia caused by extreme exhaustion and political tension. He was reported to have been discharged on the morning of October 20.

Lula da Silva expressed support for the legislator on social media, noting his recovery and commitment to the campaign. The upcoming election features Lula da Silva against Flávio Bolsonaro.
