André Jardine leaves Club América after three title‑winning seasons
Brazilian coach André Jardine and Club América announced a mutual separation, ending his three‑year tenure that delivered six trophies – three consecutive Liga MX championships (Apertura 2023, Clausura 2024, Apertura 2024), a Campeón de Campeones, a Supercopa MX and a Campeones Cup. Jardine was hailed as the most successful manager in the club’s history.
In his farewell press conference, Jardine displayed the three‑point hand gesture that symbolised the historic tricampeonato, thanked the fans and players, and said the emotional goodbye “means more than all the titles.” The squad responded with a video montage of heartfelt messages from players such as Henry Martín, Jonathan Dos Santos and Israel Reyes. The club hinted at a possible future return for Jardine and noted that Guillermo Almada is being considered to lead the team into the next Liga MX campaign.
