André Vilaça appointed General Manager of Hotel Quinta das Lágrimas

André Vilaça has been appointed as the new General Manager of Hotel Quinta das Lágrimas in Coimbra, succeeding Alberto Gradim. The five-star property is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Vilaça brings approximately two decades of hospitality experience to the role. His previous positions include serving as the decluster operations director of F&B for the Douro Division at The Fladgate Partnership, as well as roles at Six Senses Douro Valley, The Yeatman, InterContinental Porto – Palácio das Cardosas, and Sublime Comporta.

The appointment coincides with the 700th anniversary of the first documentary reference to the property. Vilaça stated that his priorities include evolving the guest experience, creating new reasons for visitors to return, and maintaining the authenticity and character of the estate.
