Andra Soni appointed Chairman of HKTI Banten

Andra Soni, the Governor of Banten, has been inaugurated as the Chairman of the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Indonesian Farmers Association (HKTI) for the Banten province for the 2026–2031 period. The inauguration took place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Integrated Agricultural System (Sitandu) area in Serang City.

Following his appointment, Andra Soni proposed transforming the 20-hectare Sitandu area into an agricultural laboratory and innovation space. This site is intended to serve as a testing ground for various cultivation methods and the development of locally produced fertilizers.

To support the agricultural sector, the Banten provincial government is implementing strategic programs such as the construction of Farmer Business Roads (Jalan Usaha Tani) to improve connectivity and reduce production and distribution costs. Additionally, the 'Bang Andra' (Bangun Jalan Desa Sejahtera) program has completed 61 village road sections in its first year, aimed at boosting rural infrastructure and farmer exchange rates.
