Andrada Mining reports high-grade lithium at Lithium Ridge
Andrada Mining has reported significant lithium oxide (Li₂O) grades from its fifth batch of exploration drilling at the Lithium Ridge Project in Namibia. The results include intersections of up to 2.04% Li₂O, specifically within a 4.79-metre section of drill hole LRD060.
CEO Anthony Viljoen stated that the results demonstrate the presence of high-grade intersections and confirm that the company is still uncovering the full potential of the licence. Multiple pegmatites in this drilling batch returned grades exceeding 1.5% Li₂O. Additionally, drilling has identified new pegmatites outside the main mineralised trend, expanding the potential exploration area.
The drilling also confirmed the presence of tin and tantalum mineralisation alongside the lithium. The company noted that the presence of these multiple commodities could potentially improve the project's economics, pending further metallurgical testing and economic evaluation.
