Andratx approves first municipal climate shelter at CEIP Es Vinyet

The Andratx City Council has granted initial approval for the municipality’s first climate shelter, to be located at the CEIP Es Vinyet educational center. The project is being implemented through an agreement with the Ministry of Education to improve educational infrastructure.

With an investment exceeding one million euros, the facility will provide a protected space against high temperatures and adverse weather conditions. Beyond serving students, the new covered area is designed to support local sports clubs and community activities. It will also serve as a vital alternative for sports practice during upcoming renovation works at the Es Vinyet municipal pavilion.
