Andrea Belotti finds form with Modena in Serie B

Andrea Belotti has experienced a significant resurgence with Modena, scoring five goals in his last five appearances. The Italian striker, nicknamed ‘Il Gallo’, recently secured a brace in a 3-0 victory against Cesena during the eighth round of Serie B.

This scoring streak includes goals against Empoli, Verona, Carrarese, and Cesena, marking a personal achievement Belotti has not reached in six years. After a difficult period involving a serious cruciate ligament injury and a cancelled contract renewal with Cagliari due to medical concerns, Belotti joined Modena as a free agent in September.

Following the derby win, Belotti emphasized the importance of team performance over individual statistics, stating that the group's mental strength was key to returning to victory after a previous loss to Carrarese. Modena currently sits in third place in the Serie B standings.
