Andrea Bocelli headlines sold‑out concert in Venice for Romanza 30th anniversary

On 27 June the Piazza San Marco in Venice was transformed into an open‑air theatre for the Italian leg of Andrea Bocelli’s Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour. About 5,000 fans attended, with tickets sold out days in advance. Accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Carlo Bernini and joined by guests such as soprano Mariam Battistelli, baritone Roberto de Candia, violinist Rusanda Panfili and Andrea Lykke, Bocelli performed a programme ranging from Verdi and Puccini arias to his pop classics like “Caruso”, “Vivo per lei” and “Con te Partirò”, earning a standing ovation. The concert marked a key milestone for the album Romanza, which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide. A special edition of the record is scheduled for release in September, and the tour will continue across North America, Europe and two stadium shows in Poland, with further celebrations planned for the autumn.
