The Municipality of Venice and Vela spa have launched a summer concert series in Piazza San Marco. The opening concert on 26 June featured Italian singer Riccardo Cocciante, celebrating his 80‑year career before a crowd of thousands.

On 27 June, world‑renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli took the stage, accompanied by guests such as soprano Mariam Battistelli and baritone Roberto de Candia. Bocelli sang a program that combined opera arias with his pop repertoire and premiered Beniamino Gigli’s “Notte a Venezia.” The series will continue with performances by the Orchestra and Choir of Teatro La Fenice on 5 July and rock singer Edoardo Bennato on 6 July. A planned double‑date featuring Claudio Baglioni was cancelled because of the artist’s health problems.
