Andrea Bocelli performs for Pope Leo XIV with global children's choir in Castel Gandolfo

On July 29, 2026, renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli sang a rendition of St. Francis of Assisi’s “Canticle of Peace” for Pope Leo XIV in the Borgo Laudato Si gardens at Castel Gandolfo. The performance featured more than 160 children from the Holy Land, Uganda and Italy and was organized by the Andrea Bocelli Foundation’s Voices Of program.

The concert concluded a ten‑day Global Gathering that also included workshops, cultural activities and a prior performance at Italy’s Quirinale Palace for President Sergio Mattarella. The Voices Of program, launched in Haiti in 2016, seeks to support children in underserved communities through choral singing and educational workshops.
