Andrea Boscolo Forcola appointed head of Navicella Hospital resuscitation unit

Andrea Boscolo Forcola has been officially appointed as the new Head of the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Complex Operating Unit at the Navicella Hospital in Chioggia. The appointment was formalized by the management of Ulss 3 Serenissima.

Dr. Forcola, born in 1976 and raised in Chioggia, has been leading the department in an acting capacity since the previous head, Dr. Tedesco, left the position in the spring of 2026. He has been managing the unit formally since the summer of 2026.

In his previous role as head of the operating group, Forcola contributed to the development of the ERAS protocol, which aims to manage pre-operative and operative phases to reduce patient stress and recovery times. Massimo Zuin, General Director of Ulss 3 Serenissima, expressed satisfaction with the appointment, noting the continued growth of the Chioggia hospital.
