Colombian billiards player Andrea Cardona, born in Pitalito, Huila, began competing on July 29 in Rome, Italy, at the Women's World 10‑Ball Pool Championship. The tournament runs until August 7 and gathers the top female players from around the globe.

Cardona, who had been slated to play in the World Heyball Championship in Malaysia, missed that event due to visa problems and redirected her preparation to the Rome competition.
