The Rally Regione Piemonte, the fifth round of the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally (CIAR), was staged on the winding roads around Alba in Piedmont, Italy. The event features a series of special stages and a decisive power stage that award extra championship points.

Andrea Crugnola, piloting a Lancia, arrived 21 points behind championship leader Roberto Daprà (73 points to Crugnola’s 52). Crugnola must deliver a strong performance on the special stages to close the gap and remain in contention for the title. Other competitors, including Bostjan Avbelj, Luca Guglielmetti (navigator), and drivers representing Skoda, Toyota, Hyundai and other teams, are also seeking podium positions.
