Andrea Gianni resigns as General Manager of Lucchese
Andrea Gianni has resigned from his position as General Manager of Lucchese, contradicting the club’s initial statement that his departure was a mutual agreement. Gianni clarified that he submitted immediate and irrevocable resignations on October 12, stating that “the conditions were no longer there” to continue his role.
In his farewell message, Gianni described the club as a “glorious society, mistreated for too long” and noted that he joined the organization following a period of failure. He highlighted the team's recent successes, including winning the championship and the Supercoppa, and expressed gratitude to the staff, fans, and the city of Lucca.
The departure comes amid reports of disagreements with the club president. Lucchese is expected to officially appoint a new General Manager in the coming days.
On the pitch, the team faces injury challenges ahead of their match against Sasso Marconi. Players Lorusso and Amadio are sidelined, creating an emergency in the attacking lineup for coach Bernardini.
