Florian Silbereisen and Esther Sedlaczek co‑host Goldene Henne 2026

Germany’s biggest audience award, the Goldene Henne, will be presented on 4 September 2026 at the Hall:Eins of the Leipzig Messe. For the first time the gala will be hosted by a duo – long‑time Schlager‑show presenter Florian Silbereisen and sports moderator Esther Sedlaczek. Silbereisen, appearing for the sixth time, said, “It is a great honour to present the award again and I look forward to working with Esther.” Sedlaczek added, “I am thrilled to co‑host the Goldene Henne and it means a lot to me.” The ceremony, broadcast live on ARD’s Das Erste and streamed in the ARD Mediathek, will feature around 4 500 guests and a line‑up of musical highlights, including Take That’s first German concert since 2024, a duet by Peter Maffay and Johannes Oerding, and performances by Kerstin Ott, Michael Schulte, Unheilig and Till Brönner. Viewers will vote for winners in the categories Entertainment, Film & Television, Music and Sport, with nominees such as Laura Wontorra, Hape Kerkeling and Olaf Schubert. The event is organised by MDR and SuperIllu in cooperation with NDR, BR and rbb.
