Andrea Meza transitions from Miss Universe to Telemundo television career

Andrea Meza, the 2021 Miss Universe winner from Chihuahua, has established a prominent career in Spanish-language television with Telemundo. After studying software engineering at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, Meza leveraged her pageant success to transition into media.

Her television work has included roles on ‘Hoy Día’ and ‘En Casa con Telemundo’. Following a period of physical and mental exhaustion, she stepped away from those programs to focus on her well-being and her marriage to Ryan Proctor.

Meza has since joined the program ‘La Mesa Caliente’, which has achieved top rankings in its time slot for adults aged 18–49. Her recent professional activities include serving as a judge for Miss Universe in Thailand, hosting Telemundo’s ‘Bienvenido 2026’ New Year’s Eve special, and co-hosting the network’s World Cup celebration parade.
