Andrea Osvárt to host revived Veszprém‑Balaton Film Festival in August 2026

Actress and producer Andrea Osvárt has been appointed the host of the renewed Veszprém‑Balaton Filmpiknik. The festival, organised by Veszprém‑Balaton 2023 Zrt, will take place from 27 to 29 August 2026 in the Hungarian cities of Veszprém and Balatonfüred. Around sixty feature and documentary films, as well as short and animation selections, will be screened. In addition to the film programme, the event will stage panels and round‑table discussions on topics such as industry power dynamics, harassment, psychological safety, film criticism, and the fate of previously rejected screenplays.
