Andrea Salvati, 18, killed in delivery scooter crash in Poirino, Italy
Eighteen‑year‑old Andrea Salvati of Trofarello died after losing control of his scooter while delivering a pizza for a Poirino pizzeria during a severe thunderstorm. The crash occurred at a roundabout, causing a serious chest injury. He was taken by emergency services to the CTO hospital in Turin, where he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.
The Carabinieri unit from Chieri are investigating the incident, which so far appears to be a single‑vehicle accident with no other traffic involved. Mayor Stefano Napoletano and the municipal administration expressed condolences to Salvati’s family and the local community.
