Andrea San Martín detained following allegations of child abuse

Peruvian influencer and former model Andrea San Martín has been detained by authorities following allegations of physical and psychological aggression against her minor daughter. The investigation was initiated after her former partner, Juan Víctor Sánchez, filed a formal complaint.

Sánchez reported that during a video call on October 20, he observed the child crying and struggling to speak. The complaint alleges that a dispute regarding the child's diet led to the mother pulling the girl by the arm, resulting in a bruise on her leg. Additional allegations include the deprivation of electronic devices, toys, and the prevention of school activities.

The Second Provincial Corporate Prosecutor's Office Specialized in Violence against Women and Family Members in Lima Centro has opened a preliminary investigation. Authorities are currently gathering evidence and testimonies to determine the veracity of the claims. San Martín was taken to the Miraflores police station, and the minor was referred to the Institute of Legal Medicine for evaluation.
