Andrea Sedláčková discusses Czech and French cultural ties

Director, screenwriter, and author Andrea Sedláčková discusses her life and work bridging Czech and French cultures in a new episode of the SBALENO podcast. Hosted by František Reismüller, the episode explores her career, which spans from her studies at FAMU in Prague to graduating from the prestigious La Fémis in Paris.

Sedláčková has established a significant presence in both film and literature, having worked on over forty film titles in France. Her directorial credits include Fair Play and Girl Behind the Mirror, and she received a César Award nomination for her editing on the film Welcome.

The podcast episode was prepared by CzechTourism, coinciding with the Czech Republic's status as a guest of honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Tereza Hofmanová, director of CzechTourism, noted that Sedláčková’s work effectively connects different worlds, including film, books, and the cultural landscapes of Prague and Paris.
