Andrea Verona wins Sprint Cup moto enduro in Chile

Nine-time world moto enduro champion Andrea Verona secured victory at the fourth round of the Sprint Cup Experience championship held in Tiltil, Chile. Competing on the rugged terrain of the Las Bateas estate, Verona finished with a time of 47 minutes, 17.17 seconds.

Chilean rider Benjamín Herrera finished in second place, trailing Verona by only 8.83 seconds. Herrera’s performance was notable as he competed just three weeks after undergoing surgery for a left scapula fracture. Despite the injury, Herrera managed to beat the world champion in five out of the ten special stages during the event.

The competition saw record participation, with 413 competitors across 14 categories. Other top finishers included Camilo Herrera in third place and Cristóbal Huerta in fourth.
