Andrea Vianello releases new novel ‘I figli si baciano di notte’

Journalist and former Rai3 director Andrea Vianello has released a new novel titled ‘I figli si baciano di notte’, published by Solferino. The book was presented at the Pordenonelegge festival.

The story centers on a mystery involving an abandoned cinema on the outskirts of Rome. Voices from the closed building appear to belong to adolescents who were victims of a serious accident years prior, seeking to communicate with their grieving fathers.

Vianello, influenced by Latin American magical realism and authors such as Gabriel García Márquez and Juan Rulfo, explores the blurred lines between the living and the dead through the lens of urban memory and lost spaces in Rome.
