Áron Molnár calls for investigation into Viktor Orbán

Actor and activist Áron Molnár has issued a public message addressed to Péter Magyar regarding the independence of the Hungarian Prosecutor General's Office. Molnár argues that despite recent political shifts, the office remains influenced by the previous administration, citing the presence of former Fidesz-aligned cadres in leadership positions.

Molnár criticized Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, stating that while activists and political figures have been working through the summer, the Prime Minister has remained untouched by legal scrutiny. He specifically referenced the ‘gold convoy’ case, suggesting that documents released in June indicate potential criminal responsibility for the former Prime Minister, yet no interrogation has taken place.

The activist emphasized that true political change will only be realized if the Prosecutor General's Office operates independently and if high-level officials, including Viktor Orbán, are held accountable in court.
