Andreas Keller: Drummer for Spider Murphy Gang prepares for band's 50th anniversary

Andreas Keller, the 59-year-old drummer for the iconic German rock band Spider Murphy Gang, is preparing for a major milestone as the group celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2027.

Keller’s musical journey began in Rodalben, where he initially collected stamps before being inspired by the explosive drumming style of Keith Moon from The Who. His early passion led him to create makeshift drum kits from laundry detergent containers. After moving to the United States at age 21 to study at a music school in Los Angeles, Keller eventually joined the Spider Murphy Gang, a band famous for hits such as ‘Skandal im Sperrbezirk’.
