Andreas Papellinas denies solar park profit claims

Businessman Andreas Papellinas has issued a written statement refuting claims made by MEP Fidis Panagiotou regarding his involvement with photovoltaic parks. Papellinas dismissed allegations that his businesses earn millions from solar energy installations, labeling them as false.

He clarified that the solar infrastructure in question was developed exclusively to meet the energy needs of his own companies and to reduce their corporate carbon footprint. Papellinas emphasized that public discourse regarding energy costs is necessary for the Cypriot economy but urged the MEP to base his statements on verified data and to consult with involved parties before making conclusions.
