Andreas Tetey receives FIFPRO Player Activism Award

Panathinaikos forward Andreas Tetey has been honored with the 2025 FIFPRO Player Activism Award for his commitment to diversity, inclusion, and combating racism in Greece.

Tetey emphasized that his platform as a professional footballer carries a responsibility to address social issues. He noted that as his career progresses, his voice reaches a wider audience, allowing him to advocate more effectively for causes such as mutual aid and the fight against discrimination.

Following his win, Tetey has decided to use the accompanying grant to fund a social project. In collaboration with the Panhellenic Association of Professional Footballers (PSAPP) and the Greek Footballers' Association, he is organizing a football tournament for refugee children. The initiative aims to provide a space for children to meet players, receive jerseys, and create lasting positive memories through sport.
