Popescu clarified that her relationship with Dan Alexa developed from a friendship during a period when her marriage was experiencing significant difficulties. She stated that the situation was not premeditated, suggesting that the lack of space and connection within her marriage contributed to the shift in her relationship with Alexa. Despite the divorce, she expressed continued respect for her former husband.
